India to take on WI for the lone T20, Gayle and Pollard back to strengthen WI team

India will be end up their campaign in WI with a lone T20 to be played in Sabina Park, Kingston. Virat's men have already won the one day series 3-1 and are reckoned as favourites for the T20 considering the current form. But then their is a twist in the tale, opponents have strengthened their T20 squad. Arguably the best T20 batsman in the world, Chris Gayle, Pollard and Narine have been recalled for the match.
Chris Gayle last played an international T20 in World Cup, 2016
Chris Gayle will be playing an international T20 after the gap of more then one year. His last T20 for WI was the final of World T20 in April,2016. Players like Pollard, Braithwaite, Samuel Badree, Sunil Narine, Marlon Samuels making a comeback along with Gayle will give WI the much needed firepower.
  • Gayle brings the firepower to WI batting lineup
  • Pollard and Samuels are key in the middle order
  • Narine can take wickets at great economy
India will also look to make some changes to the playing 11. Rishabh Pant could be playing his first game of the tour. Virat might open the batting along with Dhawan. Rishabh pant, Rahane and Jadhav probably will take the charge of middle order, with hitting power of Pandya and Dhoni to see off the things if needed.
Virat could be seen opening the batting with Dhawan
  • Pant has batted superbly in the recently concluded IPL
  • Virat probably opens the batting to balance the batting lineup
Virat will have to make a call to play two spinners out of Ashwin, Jadeja and Kuldeep. Kuldeep's current form and Jadeja's fielding and batting along with his bowling should give them edge to be selected and Ashwin will have to sit on bench. Umesh and Bhuvneshwar could probably be the two seamers playing the match.
By virtue of current form India is the obvious favourite to win the one off T20I today. Stats however are in favor of WI with latter having won 4 T20s off 7 played between both teams. India has just won 2 and their last T20 held in Florida was called off due to rain.
  • WI has better head to head record against India in T20I
  • Leads with 4-2 in all T20 matches
Match: India VS WI, Only T20I of the tour

ICC Women's world cup, 2017 - Australia gets better of India, wins the match by 8 wickets

Mag Lanning and Ellyse Perry gave an unbeaten stand of 124 runs to help Australia beat India in a league stage by 8 wickets.  Australia won the toss and asked India to bat first. India once again had a bad start with Mandhana getting out for just 3 runs. After the brilliant start in the tournament, Mandhana has not cashed into her form and today it was the fourth consecutive time that she got out without getting into the double figures.  Mithali Raj came into bat after the fall of first wicket and continued with her sublime form in the tournament. She along with Raut started to move the scoreboard along.  Raut was looking in great form and was hitting the ball very nicely. Mithali's inning was little on a slower side, however she completed her fifty in the 33rd over of the innings before getting out for 69 from 114 deliveries.  Mithali Raj became the first Women cricketer to complete 6000 runs in international cricket  Mithali Raj en-route her innings today became t
