Zimbabwe cricket team stunned Srilankans as they successfully chased down the 317 runs target becoming the first team ever to chase 300+ target in Sri Lanka.                     Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first in Galle Stadium, Sri Lanka. Srilankans didn't had the best of the starts and lost their first wicket for just 16 runs in the 5th over of the innings. But soon the srilankan batsmen controlled the situation and started hitting the ball crisply. Riding on the fifties from Gunathilaka, B Mendis and Tharanga Sri Lanka scored 316 runs from their 50 overs.                    Zimbabwe started the huge chase with not the start they would have wished to go past the Sri Lanka's score. They lost the important wicket of Masakadza with just 12 runs on the board. They soon lost the second and were in dire states with 46 for 2. Then came Sean Williams to the crease to company Mire who was there from the start. Both of them held th

This time it will be the Indian women team who will play against Pakistan on 2nd July  in the ongoing ICC women's world cup, 2017 being held in England and Wales.                          India has had a sensational start to the tournament winning their first two matches against England and West Indies. Indian cricket team has shined with the bat and with the ball in both the matches winning their matches quite comprehensively. They started their campaign against the hosts England and won the match by 35 runs and in their next match against West Indies they were even more confident and won the match by 7 wickets.                Indian batswomen have shined on the big stage and have shown great form with Smriti Mandhana and

Sri Lankan cricket team warned to get fit.

Sri Lankan cricket has not had good times recently while their team is going through the transition phase. Since the retirement of ace players like Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardne, Tillakaratne Dilshan to name a few, Sri Lankan team has struggle to find the right balance in the team.                                     They didn't had the best of tournament in the recently concluded Champions trophy. They lost their matches to Pakistan and South Africa and couldn't make it to semifinals.                                      Now, as they are lined up for the bilateral series against Zimbabwe, their team has landed into another trouble. Team has been selected for the series but the players will have to go through a fitness test to make to the final team. Whoever fails to pass the fitness standards will be shown doors out of the team. It all started when Sports minister of Srilanka Jayasekera recently commented on the poor fitness standards after the team'

A day to remember for India Hockey

When Pakistani cricket team was humiliating Indian cricket team in Oval, Men in blue with a hockey stick in hand were taking revenge from their Pakistani counterparts and reverted back the humiliation just few miles away in London.                       Indians were riding on great form and had already proved their metal in first two clashes of Hockey world league, against Scotland and Canada beating them 4-1 and 3-0 respectively. Pakistan on the other hand had a bad start for the tournament losing both their opening matches.                        Match started with Pakistan keeping the ball more in Indian half and creating chances. Indians were no where in first few minutes of the match and Pakistan was dominating the proceedings. Akashdeep missed a easy goal and hit the ball onto Keeper's pad with just keeper in between him and the goal. And then finally Harmanpreet opened the goal scoring and hit ball along the carpet for first goal in 13th min, followed by two go

The Final - A dramatic turnaround

Out of the blue! When India won the toss and elected to bowl first in the final of ICC champions trophy on Sunday,  no one around the world would have ever expected the Pakistan cricket team celebrating with the Champions cup trophy. But, yes, this happened out of the blue. Final did ended up with the most unexpected result and Pakistan won the ICC Champions trophy, 2017.                                                                                                                When Pakistan lost to India in the group stage it was never expected that Pakistan team could even make it to semi-finals. Then, in the second match against South-Africa, an unknown player name, Fakhar Zaman made his debut and things just changed completely for the whole team. How a positive and energetic player in the team can change the attitude of the whole team was seen in this tournament. He was so fluent in his stroke play from his first match

India Vs Pakistan - History as it has been in ICC Champions Trophy

"Nothing can get better then this" If you are a cricket lover, this would certainly be your thought for the cricket match lined up on this Sunday, India vs Pakistan, final of the ICC Champions Trophy, 2017. Whenever the two teams play against each other plenty of emotions flow on the day. Happiness and celebrations at one side of the LOC and grief and pain on the other. Firework shows at one side and TV crashing at the other.                                                                                            Pakistan thumped host England in the first semifinal and India gave the same treatment to Bangladesh in the other. It would be safe to say that both teams cakewalked into the finals. Now, the two teams will face off in a final to get their hands to the second most coveted trophy of one day cricket after World Cup. This would be the fifth time these two teams will be playing each other in a Champions trophy tournament. They have

Indian's dominance in ICC champions trophy over the chattery neigbours

Immature players, immature fans get the treatment they actually deserved for all the talking and shameless acts they do on social networks. This again shows that it's better to speak through your work then your mouth. Amazing cricket played by Indian cricket team. They rose to the occasion and thrashed the very irresponsible set of players. Match started with India winning the toss and electing to bowl first. Bangladesh opened with Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar and the latter got out pretty soon on a duck on the last ball of Bhuvneshwar and match's first over. Then came Shabbir Rahman,  who looked in real hurry and after striking few quick runs he got caught at point by Jadeja on the bowling of Bhuvneshwar. Next in was Rahim who steadied the batting with Tamim at other end playing watchfully. Indian bowlers were finding it hard to break the partnership and then trying few thi
